Today is Good Friday.  I am heading out for church in minutes.

As I work through my own failings of faith, I am reminded that I am not the first person to be disappointed with God.  Today we mark the date when Jesus was crucified.  For the disciples, there could not be a more disappointing day.  While disappointment can linger, sometimes, just sometimes we are surprised by joy.

I hope that Sunday we all find just a bit of joy.

  1. Great thoughts, Ben. It’s been one hellova couple days here as well, topped off with a wonderful SNOW STORM. but I love being surprised by joy and I anticipate our Easter services to be a place where God will pour out some joy on all of us.
