Brian and I went walking yesterday. I had seen that there was a reservoir near our houses, so I thought we should check it out.

As a side note, our county has been in drought for about a year. The paper says we are down 9” of rain.

So after some logistical problems, we found the entrance to the reservoir. It is off a dirt road and you have to hike back about a ¼ of a mile to reach the lake. I was not prepared for what I saw. The shoreline shows a typical sized suburban reservoir, but there was barely any water in the lake. There was 50 to 100 yards of barren shore line all the way around. The remaining water was pitifully low for a county our size. I wish I had taken my camera. It was downright disturbing.
